Venachar Lochside is an award-winning, exclusive-use wedding venue set on the shores of Loch Venachar in the heart of the Trossachs. We are a place where couples enjoy being surrounded by wild Scottish nature, incredible food and expert hospitality.
The loch is located in the heart of the Trossachs, five minutes from the popular tourist town of Callander and one hour from Glasgow. We offer exclusive use of our venue, providing a seamless experience where you can host both your ceremony and reception in one stunning location.

At Venachar Lochside, we offer an array of picturesque ceremony locations, each boasting breathtaking views of the loch. With exclusive access, you have the freedom to choose your ideal spot within the venue or its surrounding grounds for your special day.
Ceremonies can take place outdoors on the deck or lawn overlooking the loch, or inside our ground-floor reception space with its striking 180-degree glass façade, panoramic views and natural feel. All our ceremony spaces are right next to the loch.
Our lawn sits under a beautiful natural stretch tent, so you can say your vows outside with the loch in front of you and nature all around, whatever the weather does.
Our ceremony spaces are naturally beautiful, so even without additional decorations they provide a stunning setting. Our team will be on-site from early morning to ensure your ceremony space looks perfect for your special day.
After the ceremony, guests spill out onto the decking, lawn and downstairs space to enjoy drinks and canapés overlooking the loch. It's a moment to relax, celebrate and take in the view while our team serves all your guests. The stretch tent covers the lawn, so nobody has to head indoors if the weather turns.
All of our canapés are freshly crafted in-house by our chefs using the finest local produce. Served on wooden boards and slate, each piece is carefully presented to look as beautiful as it tastes, with a real focus on the small details. Drinks are poured just before the ceremony concludes so they are perfectly chilled and ready for guests to enjoy as the celebrations begin.

We host a wide variety of weddings, with each couple choosing to spend the latter part of their day in their own unique way. Some prefer a lively evening with DJs, bands, cocktail bars and dancing, while others opt for a more relaxed atmosphere with cosy seating areas, engaging activities, and plenty of space for guests to mingle. The best part? Venachar Lochside can be tailored to suit any style, whether you're planning a party, a more chilled gathering, or something in between.
We offer a versatile downstairs space that can accommodate a dance floor and a band or DJ setup. For those who prefer a more personal touch, we also have a large sound system available, allowing you to create your own playlist. Additionally, we can set up tables and chairs alongside the dance floor, providing your guests with the flexibility to relax and chat or get up and dance whenever they choose.
Of course, the bar will be open all night until 12 AM, staffed by our fully trained and efficient team to ensure excellent service throughout the evening.

There's a great choice of places to stay just minutes from Venachar Lochside, from lochside lodges to guest houses in Callander. These are the ones we recommend most often — and for transport to and from the venue, Doune Travel look after our couples and their guests beautifully.
Leny Estate sits in the Leny Hills near Callander. It's a mix of cosy log cabins, Victorian cottages and a traditional lodge, with space for up to 36 of your guests to stay together.
The Abbotsford is a 4-star AA-rated guest accommodation, ideally located just off the main street of Callander. With 13 well-appointed rooms, the property comfortably accommodates up to 29 guests per night — an intimate and welcoming retreat in the heart of Scotland.
Right on the shore of Loch Venachar, these modern luxury lodges are a short walk from the venue. Two properties — Coorie (sleeps 4) and Carsaig (sleeps 6) — host up to 10 guests together. Both have hot tubs, wood-burning stoves and open-plan living with panoramic loch and hill views, private gardens and direct loch access. We can't book the lodges on your behalf, but we highly recommend visiting their website to check current prices and availability.
